Today was our first park day! We had breakfast and met Blue from Blue's Clues here at the village. Then we made a stop at Wal Mart before heading to Animal Kingdom. The Wal Mart right here by the village has a huge Disney section, so that's where we picked up Sam's autograph book. He also picked out a t-shirt and a stainless water bottle. Much cheaper than at the parks. ;)
Right off the bat we met Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. Sam wasn't really a fan. ;P he was enthralled with Finding Nemo the Musical, but fell asleep before it was over. He started waking up when we tried transferring him to the stroller so I just strapped him in the carrier and he napped in that while Alex got to ride Expedition Everest.
He also met Pluto and Goofy and we forgot to get their autographs. He definitely liked them more than the Pooh characters. Before we left we met Mickey, Minnie, and Donald.
We came back to the village for dinner, then headed to Magic Kingdom for the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular show which really was spectacular. I basically held him and cried during the entire thing. And he narrated the show for everyone. "Boom! Boom boom! See the green firework! There's a blue one!" I just feel so blessed that he is still here with us and in that moment I really felt like whatever I dreamed for him can come true.
Gah! Now I'm choked up again! Tomorrow we'll spend the day at the Magic Kingdom park where he'll get a special meet and greet with Mickey! Hopefully he'll love it! (And we also hope he'll be willing to ride in the stroller or be worn in the carrier more often tomorrow rather than just wanting "Up! Up!" with momma only. I don't know if my back can take it!)
Oh! And we haven't been able to get many of the big photos but ill be sure to share all of the photopass photos when I can! :)

Love seeing the fun yall are having! :)
Beautiful!
My in-laws went a couple of years ago with my brother-in-law (he was 20 at the time but has a childhood non-malignant brain tumor/hormone disorder).
They really enjoyed the accommodations and fun memories made after years of grueling treatment (and a lifetime ahead as he will never recover, even though his lifespan is not expected to be drastically reduced).
I am so grateful your Sam is thriving and growing and happy! I began following your story after stumbling upon a post on FB and relating with my oldest son, named Sam, and that I am from Louisville. I prayed for your Sam so often while rocking my own (he is just a few months older than yours) and am so happy for you all!
Many more blessings and lifelong happy memories!
Nice!!
Funny, Sam doesn't look to impressed with the big stuffed animals. When we traveled to Disney when my kids were small, my son was not thrilled at all and my daughter only stood in the photos to please me then ran right back beside me. Lol, kids are great!!
Continuing to pray,
<><
Correction, not stuffed animals, but I meant stuffed with a person inside. Sorry.
Love this <3
