This weekend was pretty fun. On Sunday Sam and I went to my niece's 13th birthday party. Sam had a great time and I got a little break from him as he attached himself to my sister in law. AND... she finally coaxed him into walking in the grass! He has always refused to even stand in grass, but I knew he was getting close to being ready because he was willing to touch it with his toe when we checked the mail the other day. This afternoon we stopped by the park so Sam could show off his grass-walking skills for Daddy in the shade. (We have ZERO shade at our house.)With Sam's central line we only gave him sponge baths twice a week. He got really good one on the day we changed his dressing and one mid-week. Since he's been able to take a bath he's gotten one three nights in a row!
He even lets me dump water over his head. He hated if I let it drip in his eyes during sponge baths.
And it's a good thing, too, because with all of this new exciting stuff he totally smells like a foot that's been outside by the end of the day.
