Doin' stuff... and takin' pictures of it.

We've been moving things around and throwing a ton of crap away as well as gathering things to donate to Goodwill around here. Alex moved his office into the smaller room a while back (I thought I posted about him doing that but all I could find was where I said he was going to.) We've been trying to decide what to do with my craft stuff. For a while we were looking for a cabinet to store it in... but that would leave me without a workspace. So the decision was made to move my desk into our bedroom and hang a couple of shelves to put my supplies on. I'm not a big fan of non-bedroom stuff in the bedroom but you've got to work with what you've got and what we've got is limited space.

Here's Alex hard at work doing man stuff...
Puppy supervising...

The shelves are level. Alex wants you to know that.

Puppy approves.

Those baskets on top are crammed full of crap and falling apart. I need to get some new ones.

With minimal effort (at least on my part, I layed on the bed and watched...) I wound up with an okay little workspace. Alex is going to bring me a desk chair home.

In an effort to empty out the nursery closet of non-baby stuff, we also cleaned out and organized all of the closets in the house. It. was. awesome. I cleaned out my closet about a month ago and wound up with three or four garbage bags full of clothes to donate. With Alex's closet and the coat closet cleaned out, I've lost track of the bags. We still have some baby stuff that's being stored at Alex's office that I need to sort through, which will result in even more bags.

While going through Alex's closet we found some real gems...

Check out the stage band shirt...

Dude. I mean... dude.

He had like 5 hats like this one...

A wedding gift... anybody want it?

Alex hung some hooks for my scarves!

Formerly the king of the button down, my husband is now the king of the t-shirt. (He still has plenty of button down shirts, they're just behind that Steve from Blue's Clues sweater.)

The carnage...
Yes, that is an exercise trampoline. Those two bags are filled with trash. The pile of crap is headed to Goodwill. That blanket on Puppy's bed is his blanket. He drags it all around the bedroom.

Aaaaand finally.... this is what Puppy does to keep his balance when you try to push him over...

This is going to sound weird, but all I could think of were how those closet doors made me miss the house I grew up in. Which reminded me of the time before Jon came along when my Mom was sure she'd probably never get to have more kids so she made the spare room into my own little oasis. Sigh...I think you know how that venture ended.

Moral of the story: little Ricky Bobby is probably going to keep leeching your space forever, and you're probably going to like it.

The people who lived here before replaced all of the closet doors except for those two our bedroom and the one in the nursery. Weirdos. :]

Kermit is a good one! I'm forever trying to come up with different little names to call him... today it was Walker Texas Ranger!
